All of these materials are some of the most advanced on the market and are ‘’Red List Free’’ verified, certifying they contain no harmful chemicals, toxins or materials. This ensures the materials that go into the building envelope will provide a safe and healthy living environment for the occupants.The home was designed by Passive Design Solutions, the most experienced passive house designer in Canada and is designed to be ultra energy efficient. The home has Kohltech Triple Energlas Plus windows with black exterior finish. Flat textured black metal roofing and a flat grey textured custom metal siding. The home will include a Rheem air source hybrid hot water heater to support the reduced energy load of the home and meet the efficiency requirements. In addition to this the HRV unit will be a Fantech Hero 150 ecm unit which is one of the most energy efficient HRV’s currently on the market. The home will also be pre-plumbed for retro solar installation if the homeowner chooses to add a solar installation to zero the home.
